Maternity Leave Replacement

The Marriott Quebec City Downtown is looking for a Group Sales and Events Manager to temporarily join its sales team.

Reporting to the Director of Sales and Marketing, you will be responsible for developing group and banquet sales, converting incoming requests and assisting clients in planning their events. You will contribute directly to maximizing hotel revenues while providing a personalized client experience.

• Process, qualify and convert group and banquet requests: room blocks, meetings, events and meeting room rentals;
• Develop new business opportunities and ensure follow-up with prospective clients;
• Prepare proposals, contracts and follow-ups necessary to confirm groups;
• Assist clients in planning their events and coordinate their needs with hotel teams;
• Participate in the preparation and distribution of Banquet Event Orders (BEOs);
• Provide personalized service to clients before and after their events;
• Ensure follow-up of sales activities and produce required reports;
• Participate in sales meetings, training, client activities and local events;
• Perform any other related tasks linked to the development of group and event sales.

• Ability to use advanced functions of various computer systems: client tracking, inventory control, forecasting tools, etc.;
• Creative personality, focused on results and customer service;
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and thoroughness in file follow-up;
• Excellent communication skills in French and English;
• Minimum of three (3) years of customer service experience;
• College diploma in the hospitality field.
