The Marriott Quebec City Downtown is looking for a Sales and Banquet Operations Coordinator to join our team.

Reporting to the Director of Sales and Marketing, you will be responsible for coordinating confirmed groups and ensuring the smooth execution of events at the hotel. You will be a key point of contact for our clients and work closely with the various departments to ensure a seamless and personalized experience.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate confirmed group stays: accommodations, meeting rooms, food and beverage and other needs;
  • Prepare and distribute group summaries, banquet orders and information to the relevant departments;
  • Follow up with clients before their arrival and during their event;
  • Welcome clients and act as a resource person during events;
  • Oversee the smooth execution of functions and respond to last-minute requests or changes;
  • Coordinate room setups, staffing needs and audiovisual equipment;
  • Participate in weekly sales and group meetings;
  • Complete banquet function billing and required administrative follow-ups;
  • Perform any other related tasks to ensure the success of groups and events.
Skills and Requirements
  • Ability to use advanced functions of various computer systems: client tracking, inventory control, forecasting tools, etc.;
  • Creative personality, results-oriented and focused on banquet service quality;
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and thoroughness in file follow-up;
  • Excellent communication skills in both French and English;
  • Minimum of three (3) years of customer service experience;
  • College diploma in hospitality;
  • Availability for a variable and flexible work schedule.
