Job Description

We are looking for a front desk agent who wishes to provide warm and personalized service to our clientele while respecting the standards and norms of our hotel.

Reporting to the Director of Operations, the incumbent's function is to perform tasks directly related to the client's stay such as reserving rooms, welcoming clients upon arrival and during their stay, providing information about the establishment and its services as well as the tourist attractions of the region, making sales and ensuring the coordination of the various services of the establishment.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Provide courteous and professional service, being proactive and focused on guest needs.
  • Welcome and register guests.
  • Individual and group reservation bookings.
  • Answer the phone, make reservations, process payments and all other tasks related to front desk reception in hospitality as well as the restaurant.
  • Respond to client requests and/or direct them to appropriate colleagues in order to effectively address each request.
  • Perform all other related tasks deemed necessary by management.

Requirements

  • Professional presentation required.
  • Ability to work on a variable schedule (day, evening, night, weekends and holidays)
  • Be comfortable with computers; have good learning ability.
  • Have a positive personality, be dynamic and smiling.
  • Be particularly responsible, reliable, resourceful and have initiative.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, maintaining calm and a smile.
  • Knowledge of hotel management software such as IQWARE an asset
  • Ability to work as a team and share information effectively.
  • Be in good physical condition and be able to stand for long hours.
  • Study in tourism or hospitality or Experience in hospitality an asset.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
