ABM is seeking a Housekeeping Manager who will contribute to delivering an impeccable customer experience by ensuring the quality, cleanliness and efficiency of the department's operations.

Your role Reporting to ABM management and working closely with operations management, the Director of Housekeeping is responsible for the planning, organization and supervision of all activities of the housekeeping department.
He or she ensures compliance with quality, cleanliness and safety standards while ensuring efficient management of the department's human, material and financial resources.
Main responsibilities: Leadership and team management
  • Recruit, integrate, train and supervise housekeeping teams.
  • Mobilize, develop and evaluate supervisors, room attendants and team members.
  • Prepare work schedules, manage holidays, leave and operational needs.
  • To foster a respectful, collaborative and efficient work environment.
  • Ensure the continuous development of employees through training and coaching.
Operations Management
  • Plan and coordinate the department's daily operations.
  • Ensure the cleanliness of rooms, public spaces and common areas according to established standards.
  • Conduct daily inspections of rooms and public areas.
  • Follow up with reception regarding priority rooms.
  • Supervise inventories, equipment and cleaning products.
  • Ensure compliance with productivity and quality standards.
Customer experience
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
  • Collaborate closely with reception, maintenance and other departments.
  • Respond quickly to customer requests and complaints.
  • To actively contribute to customer satisfaction.
Administrative management
  • Control labor costs and departmental expenses.
  • Participate in periodic inventories.
  • Produce the required operational reports.
  • Ensure compliance with budgets and performance objectives.
Health and safety
  • Enforce health and safety policies.
  • Ensure compliance with health procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental standards.
  • Train employees on safe work methods.
Desired profile: Education and experience
  • Diploma in hotel management or any relevant combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a management position in hotel housekeeping.
  • Experience in a high-volume hotel environment.
  • Experience within a hotel chain (an asset).

The incumbent is an employee of ABM Facility Services and performs their duties at the Courtyard® & Residence Inn® Montreal Airport , working closely with the hotel's management teams to ensure excellence in housekeeping operations.

An intermediate level of English is required for occasional communication with English-speaking clients and external suppliers, and to understand certain technical documents. Your Role Reporting to ABM Management and working closely with the Hotel Operations team, the Housekeeping Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing all Housekeeping Department operations.
This individual ensures compliance with quality, cleanliness, and safety standards while effectively managing the department's human, material, and financial resources.
Key Responsibilities Leadership and Team Management
  • Recruit, onboard, train, and supervise housekeeping team members.
  • Coach, develop, and evaluate supervisors, room attendants, and housekeeping aides.
  • Prepare employee schedules and manage vacations, statutory holidays, and operational staffing requirements.
  • Foster has a respectful, collaborative, and high-performing work environment.
  • Promote continuous employee development through coaching and ongoing training.
Operations Management
  • Plan and coordinate the department's daily operations.
  • Ensure guest rooms, public areas, and hotel facilities meet established cleanliness standards.
  • Conduct daily inspections of guest rooms and public spaces.
  • Coordinate room priorities with the Front Office team.
  • Oversee inventories, equipment, and housekeeping supplies.
  • Monitor productivity and quality standards.
Guest Experience
  • Maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness and presentation.
  • Work closely with the Front Office, Engineering, and other hotel departments.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests and concerns.
  • Contribute to delivering an outstanding guest experience.
Administrative Management
  • Monitor labor costs and departmental expenses.
  • Participate in periodic inventories.
  • Prepare required operational reports.
  • Ensure departmental budgets and performance objectives are achieved.
Health and Safety
  • Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety policies.
  • Promote adherence to sanitation and hygiene procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental standards.
  • Train employees on safe work methods and proper use of equipment and cleaning products.
Qualifications Education and Experience
  • Diploma in Hotel Management or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of management experience in hotel housekeeping.
  • Experience in a high-volume hotel environment.
  • Experience with an international hotel brand is considered an asset.
