Director of Sales and Marketing

Reporting to the General Manager, the Director of Sales and Marketing assumes full responsibility for the leadership and management of sales functions and the hotel's performance in terms of revenue, profitability and competitive RevPar index, as well as the management of banquet groups.

Job Responsibilities

Sales :
  • Manage the implementation of sales department policies, programs, and activities, in collaboration with the relevant department managers.
  • Coordinate and supervise the work of the sales team
  • Develop and maintain business opportunities through development actions and activities.
  • Develop your own market in addition to supporting those of your team
  • Supports the sales efforts of the Urgo Hotels regional team and works jointly to maximize business opportunities.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction during and after service delivery and handle complaints, if necessary.
  • Analyze sales reports

Marketing (in collaboration with the Urgo regional team):
  • Prepare a sales and marketing plan: market research, pricing, promotion/advertising, distribution, communication, etc.
  • Direct the establishment's marketing strategies based on customer trend studies and established development plans.
  • Monitor and liaise with the Public Relations department regarding advertising, writing and press release requirements.

Revenue
  • Analyze the Star
  • To ensure the hotel's positioning within its market

Banquets:
  • Supervise sales department meetings with department employees.
  • To ensure, with his banquet team, proper planning of upcoming events
  • Linking the Front Office, Banquet, F&B and Finance: all the hotel's services.

Competence and quality
  • 3 years' experience in a management position.
  • 3 years of sales experience
  • Skills in human resource management (managing work teams, conflict resolution, etc.)
  • Skills in sales, marketing and negotiation
  • Customer service skills
  • Professional attitudes and behavior (teamwork skills, autonomy, dynamism, interpersonal skills, honesty, versatility, initiative, organizational skills)
  • Knowledge of French and English. Proficiency in other languages is an asset.
  • Knowledge of basic management principles and relevant computer systems
  • Excellent knowledge related to market analysis, customer analysis, distribution networks, advertising, mass media, and social media
  • Excellent knowledge of the tourism industry, as well as the establishment's products and services.
  • Excellent knowledge of the immediate area and tourist points of interest
  • Skills in written and verbal communication
