The maintenance manager works closely with their team to coordinate preventative maintenance of guest rooms, public areas, equipment, and machinery. They are responsible for developing, coaching, and motivating their team to ensure a safe, functional, and high-quality environment. They strive to deliver an impeccable service to guests while adhering to company standards and requirements.
Responsibilities- To lead and complete hotel projects, such as work, inspections, repairs and maintenance, while ensuring adherence to preventive maintenance program timelines.
- Determine the needs in terms of repair/service contracts.
- Maintain and update the documents necessary for the proper monitoring of department operations and respond quickly to technical and practical emergencies for internal and external clients.
- Provide training and supervise the department team to ensure that maintenance and upkeep work meets chain standards while controlling reliance on external services.
- Supervise schedules, working hours and control the department's budget, manage supply orders and participate in budget planning in collaboration with senior management.
- Sense of organization, rigor, autonomy and responsiveness to emergencies.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Effective leadership and communication with his team.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role
- Proficiency in computer tools such as Word, Excel, Outlook... (an asset).
- Bilingualism.
