Position Summary

Terrain is seeking an experienced, service-driven Restaurant Manager to oversee daily operations and deliver an exceptional guest experience. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who thrives in a hospitality first environment, leads by example, is hands on, highly communicative, wants to be part of a team environment, and maintains operational excellence while supporting business growth.

The Restaurant Manager will be responsible for front-of-house leadership, staff management, guest satisfaction, inventory oversight, scheduling, and ensuring all health and safety standards are consistently met.

Key ResponsibilitiesOperations & Guest Experience
  • Oversee daily restaurant operations to ensure smooth and efficient service

    • Support with Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, & Brunch Services

  • Deliver a welcoming, high-quality dining experience for all guests

    • Embody a hospitality first mind-set, delivering on making warm and genuine interactions and experiences

  • Actively be a leader on the floor, getting ahead of communication with the guest and the team and engaging with each guest. 

  • Maintain cleanliness, presentation, and service standards throughout the restaurant

  • Monitor reservations, table flow, and peak service periods

Team Leadership
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and supervise front-of-house staff

    • Support in conducting weekly 1-1s w/ ALL FOH Staff

  • Support in training new hires & ongoing food, beverage and service.

  • Foster a positive, team-oriented workplace culture

  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching

  • Lead pre-shift meetings and communicate daily goals and updates

Financial & Administrative Management
  • Support budgeting, cost control, and revenue targets

    • Support in Monthly Inventory

  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate ordering with suppliers

    • Support the AM Ordering & Dry Good Pars

  • Review daily sales, cash handling, and reporting procedures

    • Close restaurant 3x a week, ensuring accurate reporting w/ Navi & FOH Service Recap

  • Assist with organizing invoices and orders

  • Manage daily labour & staffing ensuring 11% Labour Target

Schedule & Expectations
  • Full-time position consisting of 5 working days per week with 2 consecutive days off

  • Expected shifts are typically 8–10 hours per day

  • Schedule will include a balanced mix of breakfast, brunch and dinner service shifts

  • Opening shifts begin at 1:00 PM

  • Closing shifts begin at 3:00 PM

  • Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays is required
