Job Description
We are looking for a receptionist who wants to offer a warm and personalized service to our clientele while respecting the standards and norms of our hotel.
Reporting to the Director of Operations, the incumbent is responsible for performing tasks directly related to the customer's stay, such as booking rooms, welcoming customers upon arrival and during their stay, providing information about the establishment and its services as well as tourist attractions in the region, making sales and ensuring the coordination of the establishment's various services.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
- To offer courteous and professional service, being proactive and oriented towards the needs of guests.
- Greet and register guests.
- Taking individual and group reservations.
- Answering the phone, making reservations, processing payments and all other tasks related to hotel and restaurant reception.
- Respond to customer requests and/or direct them to the appropriate colleagues in order to efficiently address each request.
- Perform any other related tasks deemed necessary by management.
Requirements
- Professional presentation required.
- Ability to work a variable schedule (day, evening, night, weekends and holidays)
- Be comfortable with computers; have a good learning ability.
- To have a positive personality, to be dynamic and smiling.
- To be particularly responsible, reliable, resourceful and to have initiative.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, while remaining calm and smiling.
- Knowledge of hotel management software such as IQWARE is an asset
- Ability to work in a team and share information effectively.
- To be in good physical condition and able to spend long hours standing.
- Studies in tourism or hospitality or experience in hospitality are an asset.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
