Brief Description

Reporting to the maintenance department, we are looking for a technical maintenance technician who will be responsible for maintaining our spaces and participating in the execution of all tasks related to the technical maintenance of the building in order to provide our clientele with an impeccable product in compliance with the chain's standards.
Our maintenance technicians will work jointly with the rest of the maintenance team in order to provide our guests with impeccable service that reflects our DNA: sophisticated, appealing, and connected. Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Maintenance of rooms and common areas.
  • Repairs in rooms (caulking, painting, tile repairs, appliances, etc.).
  • Carpet and tile repairs.
  • Basic plumbing and carpentry work.
  • Paint repairs.
  • Perform preventive inspections of various spaces and carry out work necessary to maintain the quality of the premises.
  • Inspection and maintenance of electrical installations.
  • Inspection and maintenance of mechanical rooms.
  • Inspection and maintenance of fitness center equipment.
  • Inspection and maintenance of ice/water machines.
  • Inspection and maintenance of elevators.
  • Inspection and maintenance of parking.
  • Perform outdoor snow removal.
  • Maintenance and repair of pool/sauna equipment and terrace.
  • Inspect the exterior building, fences, lighting, sprinklers, facade and perform maintenance/repairs as needed.
  • Perform preventive maintenance of the air conditioning/heating system (A/C) (coils, filters, etc.).
  • Inspect smoke detectors according to established procedures.
  • Management of the fire panel and life safety.
  • Inspect and perform preventive maintenance of various work tools.
  • Communicate with the hotel reception when an issue may impact clientele.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to service calls and confirm completion of work.
  • Perform repairs and work scheduled in the maintenance program and follow up with the director.
  • Perform any other related tasks.

Skills and Requirements

  • Diploma of studies in a field related to building maintenance or an equivalent combination.
  • Experience in building maintenance.
  • Skills in carpentry, plumbing, electricity.
  • Availability day, evening, and weekends.
  • Bilingualism (French and English, requirement due to an international clientele).
  • Experience with Marriott chain hotels, an asset.
