YOUR ROLE
Under the supervision of the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Technician ensures the proper functioning, preventative maintenance, and safety of the hotel's facilities. The incumbent works closely with various departments to provide a safe, functional environment that meets the company's quality standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance work according to established schedules.
  • Carry out various repairs related to the building, equipment and facilities of the hotel
  • Perform regular inspections to detect any anomalies or failures
  • Collaborating with operational teams to ensure the smooth running of daily activities
  • Respond quickly to maintenance requests from various departments and customers
  • Ensure the safety of the building and act as a first responder during emergencies.
  • Maintain clean, safe, and functional technical spaces and equipment
  • Comply with occupational health and safety standards as well as company standards
  • Participate in the general maintenance of common areas and rooms, as needed.
  • Perform any other related tasks associated with the position.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Diploma in building maintenance or a related field (an asset)
  • Experience in the hotel industry (an asset)
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a similar position
  • General knowledge of plumbing, electricity, painting and building maintenance
  • Ability to use maintenance tools and equipment safely
  • Availability required during the day, evening, and weekends, depending on operational needs.


LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS
Fluency in French, both spoken and written, is required for this position.
An intermediate level of English is required to communicate occasionally with English-speaking clients and external suppliers, and to understand certain technical documents. The use of English represents approximately 15 to 25% of the tasks associated with this position.

YOUR ROLE
Reporting to the Director of Maintenance, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the proper operation, preventive maintenance, and safety of the hotel facilities. The successful candidate will work closely with various departments to maintain a safe, functional, and high-quality environment in accordance with company standards. RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance work according to established schedules
  • Carry out various repairs related to the building, equipment, and hotel facilities
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify any issues or deficiencies
  • Collaborate with operational teams to ensure smooth day-to-day activities
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from departments and guests
  • Ensure building safety and act as a first responder during emergency situations
  • Maintain technical areas and equipment clean, safe, and operational
  • Follow occupational health and safety regulations as well as company standards
  • Assist with the general upkeep of public areas and guest rooms, as needed
  • Perform any other related duties as assigned
