Tasks and responsibilities

• Ensures follow-up on work orders and performs the necessary work at the appropriate time.
• Works in collaboration with the maintenance manager and other departments (Housekeeping and Reception) to identify any malfunctions and carries out the necessary work, including:
  • Repairs in the rooms (caulking, painting, plumbing, appliances, etc.)
  • Performs repairs and work scheduled in the maintenance program and follows up with the manager.
  • Performs preventative maintenance on the air conditioning/heating (A/C) system (coils, filters)
  • Inspect smoke detectors according to established procedures.
  • Responds promptly and courteously to service calls (clients, Housekeeper, Reception) and confirms completion of work.
  • Performs repairs on furniture and equipment.
  • Maintains and repairs hotel equipment.

• Ability to communicate effectively in writing as well as verbally.
• Ability to communicate effectively with other associates as well as with clients.
• Eagerness to respond to emergencies.
• Enhanced sense of customer service and great attention to detail.
• Must comply with department, hotel and company procedures and standards.

REQUIREMENTS

• Relevant experience in a similar role.
• Excellent communication skills in French and English (oral and written)
