The Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies for several hotels within the Urgo Hotels Canada group. The individual will work closely with on-site teams to support the hotels' positioning, visibility, and performance. The role requires regular travel to the various properties to support the teams, coordinate marketing initiatives, and ensure the successful implementation of projects and activations.

Strategic and digital marketing

  • Develop and deploy annual and seasonal marketing plans for a portfolio of lifestyle and luxury hotels
  • Develop comprehensive marketing strategies aimed at customer acquisition, engagement, conversion, and retention.
  • Collaborating with revenue, sales, social media, operations, food and beverage, and e-commerce teams to align marketing initiatives with business objectives
  • Participate in discussions related to search engine optimization (SEO), digital platform optimization, and trends related to AI and generative engines.


Content management and brand image

  • Ensure consistency in positioning, voice, and brand image across the various portfolio properties
  • Oversee the creation of marketing and communication content: campaigns, visuals, promotions, website, corporate documents, presentations, etc.
  • Develop and implement social media strategies for each property
  • Coordinate photo shoots and filming, including preparation, art direction, deliverables and distribution
  • Ensure that content is aligned with the lifestyle and luxury positioning of the establishments


Partnerships, activations and outreach

  • Participate in the development of strategic partnerships with brands, events, media and local stakeholders aligned with the hotels' positioning
  • Participate in the planning and coordination of marketing activations and special events
  • Identify opportunities for collaborations in lifestyle, tourism, gastronomy, wellness and culture
  • Supporting demand generation initiatives related to corporate groups, events, and segments


Operational management and coordination

  • Responding to daily marketing requests from various properties and departments
  • Coordinate follow-ups with agencies, suppliers and external partners
  • Track marketing expenses, budgets, and supplier invoicing
  • Conduct ongoing competitive intelligence on trends in hospitality, luxury, restaurants, tourism and lifestyle
  • Ensure the monitoring and updating of digital platforms, web content and promotional tools for the properties


Job requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of marketing experience, ideally in the hospitality, tourism, luxury or lifestyle sectors
  • Excellent understanding of digital marketing, social media, and brand strategies
  • Experience in managing multi-property or multi-brand marketing projects
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and prioritization skills
  • Experience in partnerships, activations, influence and media relations is an asset
  • Good understanding of digital platforms, paid campaigns, and analytical tools
  • Bilingualism in French and English, both spoken and written
  • Availability to travel regularly to the different properties in the portfolio
  • Creativity, autonomy, and a strong ability to collaborate with operational and sales teams
